Cultural Exchange
When they moved to Canada, the Solano family brought their Mexican traditions and customs with them. They began sharing their native recipes with Calgary when Salt & Pepper opened in 1989. Now there are three locations in Calgary. Despite their expansion, the restaurant still maintains the high-quality food and service of a small family business.
Food & Drink
If you have an adventurous palate and are up for some authentically inspired Mexican cuisine, head to this spot. Think you’re familiar with tacos and quesadillas? Think again. Choose beef, chicken, veggie or chorizo filling and taste these old favourites in their authentic form. Want to branch out and try something new? There is a lot to choose from including appetizers, soups, salads and main courses. Non-meat lovers don’t worry, there are many vegetarian options. It’s no fun eating a meal that gives you teary eyes and the sniffles. If you prefer milder fare, just let your server know how hot to make your order.
Party Mexican-Style
Salt & Pepper’s dining room can be reserved for private parties and corporate events for up to 60 people. Simply call them and the staff will help select dishes to suit your event. The chef will provide a custom Mexican buffet at their restaurant or bring the party to you.
