Shaya Dining and Catering only keeps the restaurant open for breakfast and lunch so that they can use their evenings to concentrate on catering. The family friendly establishment is quaint and cosy and only seats about 50. They are fully licensed. They have been in business since 2002 and have developed quite the following in the northeast end of the city.
Get Off to a Good Start
Open at 8am, Shaya’s breakfast menu features everything from light snacks to big hearty breakfasts. There are omelettes, French toast, toast and jam, breakfast subs and plenty more. Wash it all down with a cup of joe. Lunch time brings on everything from Caesar salads to steak sandwiches and their famous Cajun chicken burger. Prices are nice and reasonable just like you would expect from a friendly, family restaurant.
Pamper Your Guests
Catering is a big part of what goes on around Shaya. They can do anything from a small luncheon for you and your colleagues to a full-out, sit-down dinner for your daughter’s wedding. Plate service may include selections such as the roast baron of beef au jus or the baked B.C. salmon with lemon butter, and each are served with your choice of soups, salads and desserts. If you are going more casual and would prefer a buffet, there are plenty of menu items available to choose from. For small functions they ask for at least 24 hours notice and 72 hours for larger get-togethers.
