The People
Since opening their first store in Edmonton in 1979, the folks at Sorrentino’s have dedicated themselves to providing quality food, wine, and service. They now have eight restaurants throughout Alberta. Reservations are a good idea at this popular spot.
The Food
Customers can start the evening off with a selection of sumptuous appetizers including the Baked Scampi or the Salsiccia Maurizio, a traditional Italian sausage with tomato sauce. Entrée’s include an array of veal dishes, lamb, beef, and seafoo, 14 different pastas, and a selection of pizzas and calazones.
The Wine
Sorrentino’s in Calgary offers their customers a unique wine experience. On behalf of the customer, they can purchase that customer’s favourite wines, and keep them stored in the large wine locker. When the customer comes in for a meal, the folks here will serve one of the customers requested wines. The customer then only pays corkage on the wine for the evening. For customers not taking advantage of this service, the restaurant offers up a selection of 80 plus wines to choose from.
Other Services
In house catering is available for private parties of up to 120 guests. Depending on the size, the entire restaurant may be used, or they can section off the bar area. Gift certificates are available for those hard to buy for folks in your group of friends. They make a wonderful thank you for that someone special.
