Where It’s At
The Static Ultra Lounge has been a staple on the Calgary bar scene for some time. Located just off of Memorial Drive in the city’s south east, Static Ultra Lounge caters to an international crowd of loyal patrons between the ages of 18 and 35. This popular spot gets rocking Thursday through Saturday with a lot of music, a large dance floor and plenty of fun while partying to the hottest music in town. Head in before 11 pm and you will avoid paying the cover charge. But don’t wait until the last second or you will find yourself in a line-up along with everyone else who is dying to party here.
Specials and Specialties
If you want a night out, but really don’t want to spend a tonne of cash on having a good time, this might be the place for you. Every night between 9 pm and 11 pm highballs are only a dollar. That’s right, save up those spare loonies and it will almost be like a free night out, especially since you have already skipped the cover. If you have the munchies they serve up a select number of dishes including assorted Jamaican foods as well as sushi.
The Sounds of Static
Dance to the sound of the in-house DJ all night long. Thursdays you will find hip-hop pounding out of the sound system. Fridays is a mix of techno and hip-hop, and Saturday and Sunday features all techno, all the time.
