This Kensington area restaurant / lounge (est. July 2007) calls itself ‘Ten’ because it’s on 10th Street, and ‘Scene Cuisine’ to reflect its perfect blend of trendy and classy. Not to be confused with the long list of pubs in the area, Ten caters to the slightly more sophisticated crowd, those who are right at home ordering ahi tuna tartar while sipping a martini and enjoying the soulful sounds of jazz. Ten Lounge is draped in warm contemporary colours and décor and always has just the right music for the soul. On weeknights the mood at Ten is mainly jazz and blues, while Fridays after 10 pm the DJ changes it up with some top 40 tunes and some retro sounds.
