It is no Chucky Cheese, but they are kid friendly at this Thai restaurant, offering a menu specially designed for tiny tastebuds. Dress is smart-casual so don’t show up in sweats and you will probably fit in quite nicely. This restaurant is located on Macleod Trail, just south of Glenmore Trail, so it is easy to find and easy to get to as well. They are fully licensed and have a nice selection of wines to go with your meal. Stop in for a quick lunch, a light snack, or go all out and enjoy a Thai feast any night of the week, and always at reasonable prices.
An Extensive MenuThere is plenty to choose from at Thai Nongkhai. Start your meal with something like the Tao Hu Tod from the appetizer menu. These deep-fried tofu pieces served with peanut sauce are often the perfect way to introduce your palate to Thai cooking. There are also a number of Thai soups and salads to choose from as a precursor to your main dish. If vegetarian is your thing, Thai cuisine includes many choices, all packed with so much flavour you’ll never miss the meat.
For other, dishes include pork, beef, chicken and seafood options. Try out the Kang Kiew Wan Kai, which is green curry chicken in coconut milk with zucchini, green peppers and basil.
