The Brickyard is Calgary’s go-to destination for a rocking good time. The Rock and Roll bar is a premium venue for live acts to work the crowd and put on knockout performances. Touring bands take to the stage often, as do local indie bands who perform from Wednesday through Saturday. Every Saturday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. the Brickyard hosts an afternoon jam, during which aspiring musicians are invited to take the stage and display their talents.
A drink and some grub
Music isn’t the only draw at The Brickyard. The venue also offers nightly drink specials and delicious food. The gourmet pizzas they serve are a big hit and the perfect way to refuel during the show.
Dancing in the dark
The mysterious, dimly lit atmosphere at the Brickyard adds to the venue’s cool factor. The acoustics are wonderful and the lighting is top quality. The vibe of the place is very much about the rock and roll lifestyle. Two huge flat panel monitors outside the venue display the stage performance taking place and give passers by a sampling of the fun to be had inside.
