The Cheesecake has been operating out of this Macleod Tr. S location for more than a decade and it is as busy today as it was when it first opened its doors. The interior is starting to wear with age, but the food, and great helpings make up for the slightly worn decor. Buffet type seating and moveable tables and seats means the restaurant can accommdate a large group of diners.
The patio faces west and like many of the Macleod Tr. S. restaurants who open up their patios in the summer months (Cactus Cafe, Earls, Limericks) you'll find it busy just about any time of the day.
Say Cheese Please
This huge menu (more than 200 items) offers just about everything when it comes eating and includes everything from breakfast meals to soups, salads, lunches and dinner. And that's before you hit the great dessert menu.
The lineup at the door is usually a good sign the food is worth the visit so don't show up expecting to eat and run. You're probably looking at a 15-20 minute wait around the dinner hour. Although every one appears to be in a bit of a rush, the food is usually well-prepared and there's lots of it. Order small if you want to try the cheesecake, and you will want to try it.
For those of you who just can't say no, the restaurant also has a bakery where you can buy a variety of cheescake and other dessert items to go. If you're on a diet you might want to give this one a miss. The temptation is probably too great to resist.
