Tucked into the heart of the community of Garrison Wood in the southwest, this pub is going back in time. Now a comfortable residential community, Garrison Wood is the location of Calgary’s original military base. In keeping with the military tradition of the area, the pub formerly known as Basha’s is transforming into The Garrison. You’ll find the solid service and friendly regulars still lining the bar, but you may notice a few old swords, olive tin helmets, or army propaganda posters decorating the walls.
No Mess in this Hall
The Garrison offers traditional pub fare side-by-side with more contemporary menu items. Their hot, freshly-fried Atlantic cod fish ‘n chips is fast becoming the most popular dish, so if you’re ready to heap on the tartar sauce and ketchup, make sure to try this pub favourite. If something small sounds appealing, The Garrison has a long list of appetizers, including stuffed mushrooms, baked brie, spring rolls, and crab dip.
