The House offers fair trade, organic coffees, including all espresso and specialty coffee drinks, as well as teas. Known for its peaceful feel, also available are freshly made sandwiches, made to order paninis and gourmet soup. Located in the heart of Kensington, this 700 square foot shop has seating for 30 and a standing capacity of 50. Its walls display local artists’ work that is available for purchase. Close to downtown and across the street from a paved bike path, the shop is wheelchair accessible. Opening in November 2001, this shop welcomes infants and their parents, with room for strollers inside as well as tables in both the men and women’s bathrooms suitable for diaper changing.
Unique Programming
This coffee house hosts an eclectic blend of outreach programs aimed at involving the surrounding community. Monthly programming varies but includes art shows, live music by local musicians on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, a knitting group, open mic night, a mums morning and poetry night.
