The Liberty Lounge is located in the Wyckham Student Centre at Mount Royal College It is a place to hang with friends after a hard day of studying, or where to see your favourite band play a live show. The surprise is that Liberty Lounge appeals to a lot of people, not just MRC students.
Fun Events Every Week
With a full line up of fun events every week, week after week, you’re hard pressed not to give the Liberty Lounge a try. Mondays start the week off with Games Night, which has games, games and more games. There are pool tables, foosball, NTN Poker, video games and even board games. Tuesday is Wyckham Student Night, where you’ll be exposed to hot music, dancing and prizes. Warm up your voice, because when Wednesday rolls around you’re going to want to strut your stuff for Karaoke Night. Thursday night promises up and coming new bands, top 40 and indie rock hosted by DJs who know how to mix it up.
Live Music, Theme Nights, Food
There’s always something happening on the weekends – live music (everything from rock to funk), theme nights, and private parties. Of course you’re going to get hungry with all that action. The Liberty Lounge serves pub food Monday to Friday from noon – 6:00 p.m. After 6:00 p.m., light snacks are available. It’s not unusual to hear people commenting that the Liberty Lounge is a great place and they can’t believe they’ve never been to there before.
