Calgary Convention and Visitor’s Bureau
Formerly known as the Calgary Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Calgary's official tourism marketing organization was formed in 1957. With information on accommodations, business services, dining, events, shopping, things to do, tour operators, transportation and surrounding areas, Tourism Calgary is the destination for newcomers and visitors alike.

Linking local business to tourists
This private, non-profit organization has over 500 business members and provides information and assistance to meeting planners, travel agents, tour operators, individual tourists and news media. Familiarization tours, promotional materials, referral services and site inspections are some of the services offered to tourism and convention industry customers. The organization acts as a liaison between the tourism and convention industry and local member hotels, restaurants, venues, attractions and service provides.

Visitor Centres
Tourism Calgary visitor centres are conveniently located at the arrivals level of the Calgary International Airport and at the Calgary Tower. The centres provide information for both Calgarians and visitors on places to stay, things to do, recreational activities, and arts and culture. Beyond Calgary brochures complement Tourism Calgary Visitor Guides, mini maps and counselor assistance. Calgary International Airport arrivals and departures information, a four station internet café and two LCD screens featuring Calgary and the Canadian Rockies highlights are also part of this “Alberta. Freedom to create. Spirit to achieve” organization.
