Bend the Body and the Mind
Your kids will be sure to impress their friends with the skills they’ll learn at one of the camps or classes from this one-of-a-kind performing arts studio. The circus camps teach kids all sorts of entertaining skills that you won’t be able to learn elsewhere, and it is all done up in a fun and enthusiastic environment. They can learn to ride a unicycle, juggle just about anything, walk the tightrope, perform on the mini-trampoline, work on their balance and plenty more. The contortion classes teach the art of extreme acrobatics and emphasize flexibility and muscle control.
Classes for Adults Only
If you didn’t realize your dream of performing in the circus as a youngster, it’s never too late. Adult classes at Velocity Motion Werks include instruction in Silk, Cord and Web techniques, where you will learn the basics of vertical rope climbing, knots, drops and transitions. There is also a Sport Acro class, an acrobatics program and contortion class for those over the age of 18.
Required Equipment
If you are an avid performer and want to be able to practice at home or show off for your friends and family, these folks have a store for you. You will find all sorts of circus equipment including unicycles, juggling balls, fire props, safety equipment and plenty more.
