Tables at this Kensington bistro, which opened in 2008, are lit up like fireflies at night as low lighting and candles offer a climate conducive for a romantic retreat or just an “in” place to unwind. The mood is further enhanced by dark grey, granite wall tiles and an array of artfully placed mirrors. Sounds of jazz and lounge music complete the vibe and colour the rhythm of the location.

Vero’s signature dish is the seafood platter for two, which is nearly as deep as the ocean, consisting of salmon, sea bass, lobster tails, calamari, clams, scallops and king crab legs.
