The Place to be
If you’re in need of radical leisure activity both for your body and spirit, make it a date at the Village Square Leisure Centre (VSLC). They offer a spectacular water park oasis, twin arena, a gymnasium and fitness studios. They also have activity rooms, babysitting and Jungle Gym play rooms for your child. Then there are the dry land activities: fitness, dance, sports, skating and tournaments and more!
The Main Attractions
The VSLC’s main attraction is the Waterpark. With its tropical theme, it’s easy to forget you are in landlocked Calgary. Spend hours in the wave pool, to the waterslides and then take a warming dip at the hot tubs. They also have the kiddies’ pool and a dive tank as well as steam room. Why not make it a date for a night of badminton or basketball at the gymnasium. Get started on building your muscles at the state of the art weight room which is also equipped with wheelchair accessible equipment. And if aerobics is more your stuff, they have over 30 fitness classes to choose from.
For the Kids and the Skaters
VSLC’s Jungle Gym helps promote motor, balance and socialization skills (among others) where children are concerned. You can also book the place for birthdays and for pre-school groups. Let’s not forget there are two ice skating rinks that also offer public skating and shinny hockey.
