The Waldhaus Restaurant is Fairmont Banff Spring Hotel’s “House in the Forest,” with its Bavarian-German architecture. The restaurant was once used as a clubhouse.

Hearty German Fare

The Waldhaus Restaurant serves cheese and chocolate fondue, venison, pan fried trout and beef short ribs and of course, black forest cake. The pub below serves locally brewed beer. German Inspired Surroundings
For those visiting Fairmont Banff Springs in the spring will be told about taking a seven minute golf cart ride to reach the Waldhaus Restaurant. Guests can also walk all the way up the Grand Staircase on the Mezzanine Level 1 and exit down to the Waldhaus Pathway, near the Willow Stream Spa. The Waldhaus looks like a hunting cottage/smoking room, replete with dark wood paneling and a roaring fireplace.
