Family Owned Inn
The Wheatland Inn has been a family owned operation since 1998. Formally part of the EconoLodge chain, it has remained a friendly home away for home for many first time visitors and those who keep coming back. The Wheatland Inn is centrally located in Strathmore, a 25 minute drive east of Calgary just off the Trans Canada Highway, and is walking distance to shops, local amenities and services.
Spacious Rooms and Kitchenettes
With 55 spacious rooms, you will find plenty of space and all the creature comforts necessary for a nice getaway. There are executive suites with a microwave and fridge, and some are equipped with Jacuzzi tubs. Some kitchen units are available. Each room comes with complimentary high-speed Internet access, free local calls and a daily newspaper. There are pet friendly rooms. The owners pride themselves in being experts in the “art of hospitality”.

Don’t worry about parking. There are plenty of free spots outside with room for trucks and buses. It can get real cold here in winter, so the Wheatland Inn has provided plug-ins to make sure your vehicle is ready to start if the overnight temperatures turn frigid.
