Live Stand Up
Yuk Yuk’s is a live comedy club in located in Calgary’s posh Elbow River Casino. It offers many of Canada’s funniest professional stand-up comedians a chance to hone their skills, and also organizes a writing workshop for budding humourists to work on their laugh production skills. If you’re a student, bring your ID and you can get in to a show for half-price.

Taking Care of Business
Yuk Yuk’s has played host to many funny people like Shaun Majumder, Stewart Francis and other Canadian comedy luminaries. There’s also the Funniest Realtor Competition- a chance to see Calgary’s realtors cracking some jokes. A great thing about Yuk Yuk’s is the variety of fundraising and charity shows that they hold. Take advantage of Yuk Yuk’s “buy a shirt, get in free” promotion. If you buy a Yuk Yuk’s t-shirt and wear it in on a Tuesday or Thursday, you get free admission.

Local Laugh Off
Every year Yuk Yuk's stages several Local Laugh Off competitions, where comedians compete for a spot in the coveted Great Canadian Laugh Off Champion finals. This title can launch an amazing career in the funny biz, and audiences across the country can be the first to see a budding superstar on stage in their hometown.
