Winter
If you love the snow you can get your fill of it during the winter at the Louise hostel, which is a 10 by hostelling standards. You're only minutes away from the Lake Louise ski hill, one of the country's top skiing destinations. Throw on some cross-country boards and you can ski forever in some magnificent surroundings. Bring some skates and you can cruise the frozen beauty at Lake Louise.

When summer kicks in, Louise opens up a mountain of hiking, backpacking, canoeing, cycling, climbing and outdoor activities. The hostel offers programs, maps and tips for enjoying these awesome surroundings.
And a Few Extras
While staying at the hostel, you can enjoy its reference library or relax in a spacious common area or sauna. Peyto's Cafe serves up some great, reasonably-priced food in a comfortable licensed environment.
The hostel and Canadian Alpine Centre are jointly operated by Hostelling International and the Alpine Club of Canada. They also offer Elderhostel for guests aged 55 and over.
