As well as leading his own projects such as Magilla Funk Conduit, he has performed with Big Miller, Tommy Banks, Bob Tildesley, Lester Quitzau, Tilo Paiz and at every Jazz City Festival. When he lived in New York City, Brett played with jazz greats Ted Curson, Rashied Ali, Karl Berger, Michael Wimberly, Don Cherry and Jaco Pastorius. Brett has also worked with funk legends Sam and Dave, James Brown, and Buddy Miles.
