Profile
The Ottawa Irish Festival (previously known as “Irish Week”) has been a mid – March event for the past 10 years. The Festival is organized by The Irish Society of the National Capital Region, which has been serving the needs of the greater Ottawa area (including West Quebec) Irish – Canadian community for over 50 years. The feature event of the Festival is the St. Patrick’s Parade and Parade Party.
Event Highlights:
- March 10 – Proclamation of “Irish Week”, St. Brigid’s Centre, 310 St. Patrick St., Ottawa
- March 11 – “Erin Luncheon & Auction”, in support of St. Patrick’s Home, 2865 Riverside Drive, Ottawa
- March 12 – St. Patrick’s Parade, City Hall to Lansdowne Park, via Laurier Ave. West & Bank St. (11 am – 1 pm)
- March 12 – Parade Party, Civic Centre, Lansdowne Park (12 noon – 4 pm)
- March 10-17 – Cultural events involving Irish history, music, language, art, and literature to be held at various locations around Ottawa
